Today's snapshot
North Sands is smaller than South Sands and narrows more at high tide, so low to mid tide gives you the most room.

Local perspective
Local notes
North Sands is the beach I'd choose when South Sands looks too busy. It has a more local feel, and the coast-path walk from town gives you good estuary views. Bring food if you're staying a while because there is no café directly on the sand.
